Razor Burn Question...?!
Question: Razor Burn Question!.!.!.!?
How would I know if my razor burn was infected!?
I have it on my face, because (according to my dad) I'm too young to shave and my skin is too sensitive at this age!.
Anyway, I've had it for a few days, and the only thing is that it's red and warm!. Sometimes it'll itch, and that's a sign of healing, as far as I know!.
There's no pain, either!.

Answers:
Infection would be indicated if you get little pus-filled bumps around the hair follicles!. If this happens don't squeeze them because you'll get ugly scarring and more bumps!. Use a cleanser and a moisturizer, not the highly fragranced ones that women use but the ones specially made for this purpose!.
If you're sensitive to razors don't use them!. Use an electric shaver instead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it changed colour and/or itchiness!. Put a good quality moisturiser on it - one that doesn't have alcohol in it (obviously) or petro-chemicals!.
When you shave go slowly!. Use a sharp razor, not blunt or old!. Wash your face first!. After rinsing, dab it with a towel rather than rub vigorously!. It also takes the skin a bit of time to adjust to being shaved, so that may be why you have the redness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your skin begins to excrete puss and/or doesn't heal up within a couple of days you should probably see your Dr!. It's not unusual though for a youngster who's just starting to shave to get razor burn!. Use a skin moisturizer on your face BEFORE you lather up and again after you've finished shaving!. This should at least reduce the amount of razor burn that you get!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
