Do hand razors hurt less than electric shavers?!

Question: I've only ever used an electric shaver to shave, yet if i try to shave more than once every two days, I experience pain similar to rubbing sand paper on my skin. Has anyone experienced this? Was this remedied by a better electric shaver or a hand razor?

thats called "razor burn" dont worry it'll go away in a couple days...
as for a better razor try the gillete quatro
its a hand razor and has four blades on it
its super smooth and since ive been using it
i havent had razor burn or cut my face on accident once.......its almost impossible to get a cut with that thing

btw if this is your first time shaving you will feel a tingly feeling on your face no matter what...but it goes away the more and more you shave

No, unless you are shaving dry, it shouldn't hurt at all.

id like to know aswell but with an electric shaver u cant slice urself wide open like u could with a hand razor, but like for that super close shave... my electric just cant cut it.. but in regards to pain..... razor will hurt more ( unless u never cut urself, then ud be lucky)

That's called 'razor burn' It all depends on how sensitive your skin is. If you haven't shaved much, that could why. But sometimes it doesn't matter how many times you shave, it still happens. My skin is really sensitive, so I only use clippers. Ssomething called a "Peanut". Works really well. They don't get my face super smooth, but it's short enough for me and I don't have to worry about razor burn.

The only time I actually use a razor is trim up the stray hairs on my neck and when I shave my balls (which I noticed tonight need to be tended to). ;)

i only use a razor now..and nothing else a little water and a razor. i dont feel any discomfurt

i think a wet shave is 100 times better....

to a point, but , you tend to have more control w/ hand razors because of how much "ingrown hairs accur, and to how much razor burn that occrs", etc..I would choose hand razors..and get the ones that are called "sensitive"..and change out your razors..pieces often..so they dont become dull..you tc/ God Bless you;)
