Erections, what do they mean?!
Question: I know what an erection is, but I always thought they meant that the man was sexually aroused. But why is it so bad if a man cannot get one? Does that mean they can't have sex or what? I always thought it happened when sexually aroused, but i read somewhere that some people lose their erections before sex, so I guess it's bad. But why is it so bad to not have one?

if a guy doesnt have an erection, he cant enter a girl and therefore no sex...and no sex in a ready relationship is bad. x
A man not getting erection is bad and that man needs to see a doctor. Unless you ugly and fat, then it is understandable.
not having an erection doesnt mean they are not arroused but it does make it hard to have sex!!! Men who are on blood preasure meds often expieriance ED erectial disfunction look it up it will tell you more!
lol you can't have sex with a flaccid penis (un-erect) as you can not ejaculate. And not to get one whilst having sex could show medical problems or.... they are more attracted by the other sex.
There might be something wrong with him if he can't get or keep erections. i think it is called erectile dysfunction. He should see a Doctor.

Most of what you speak (losing or not obtaining an erection) is a mental problem. Many factors can contribute to this, this biggest of which is usually stress. Most men will tell you that it would be very emasculating to not get or lose an erection. It makes one lose confidence in himself as a man.
Well, the goal of sex is an orgasm (for both hopefully) and the guy needs to have an erection to use it and get one. Yea, it means they can't have sex or an orgasm.

So. Back to erections, even if the guy WANTS to be sexually active and he has an "erectile dysfunction" (can't get it up) there is nothing to use to do so, and he can't do anything about it but be sad.

It's very disappointing. The woman might feel like she's not attractive enough or that she's doing something wrong. The man might feel like he's not good enough, or that something important about being a man is going away. Either way, if the couple has gotten all excited and ready for sex and then has to stop with getting what they wanted, everyone gets frustrated.
The man does not deliver his sperm. An erection allows the sperm out.
It will be hard not to have sex without an erection.
