There are two broad classes, or kinds, of steroids. One is the corticosteroids (prednisone, methylprednisolone, triamcinolone, et al.), which are prescribed by doctors to relieve / reduce inflammation. Inflammation can cause pain, as in a sprain or strain, as well as difficulty breathing, as in asthma. The other class or kind of steroids are the anabolic steroids (dianabol, Deca Durabolin, Winstrol, et al.). These medications, also prescribed by doctors, are mimics or chemical analogues (like a synthetic) of hormones produced by a body as well. But this group can influence tissue, especially muscle tissue, growth. They can, when used without a physician's supervision, cause a host of other problems.
No it's not.
