My buddy accidentally joined the marines, how can he get out of it?!
Question: My beer drinking buddy accidentally joined the Marines and now he wants to get out of it. How can he get out of it? He already signed the paperwork. Can he mintz into the induction center and pretend to be a flaming gay dude or wear panties to the physical exam? The dude doesn't want to go to Iraq because he's got a wife and a couple of kids...any advice?

Dude, I'm afraid he's in for the term. Mincing into the induction center won't get his signature off the paperwork and it sure won't earn him points with the other guys there.

You can't accidently sign in as the process is a bit time-consumin to go through MEPs and then sign the paperwork. Once you sign the paperwork, you're locked in and you can't get out.
They can keep you in boot camp for over a year to pass you, so even if you try to f up during bootcamp, they'll just recycle you and start you from day 1 all over again...and as many times as it needs.
With the recent decline on Marine/Army applications, they won't boot you out right away if you're a "flaming gay dude" however, you will get your *** beat by your fellow marines (most likely), same if you're wearing panties as word will get passed along.
ok if he signed the paperwork at the recruiter he isnt a marine yet. Has he signed the paperwork at m.e.p.s ? if he hasnt then tell him to just not go. put as best answer
I was in the US Army for 4 years, and here's the deal. The military makes it hard as hell to get out of that contract. Even if your buddy began the process now of trying to get out of the military - the time it takes to do so is several months - add to that, everyone in the camp gives the guy a very ruff way to go - as if he were a slacker, or a girlie-man...etc. The best thing for your buddy to do now is to suck it up, be a man, and walk the walk. When all is said and done, he'll be a much, much, much better person for doing so.
He's committed. They won't buy the games and they will not let him wus out. They've seen it all before. Tell him to cowboy up, be a man, be good to his work and keep his head down.
How did he accidentally get into the marines. Don't try to pull off the gay thing <------ It wont work and if it does he will get Disonhorably Discharged...
What happened, he fell down and his hand signed the paperwork? You can not accidentally sign, however you can stupidly sign up, that sounds ore likely.
IF he hasn't shipped out to basic then tell him not to go. It ain't untill you get on the bus that they have got you.
