Is there a way to stop my husband from snoring,it is disturbing my sleep ,please!

Question: Here are my suggestions:

A- rule out apnea. You sit there listening to him, does he stop breathing then sputter back to life? If so, get him checked out, its a serious health risk.

B- does he only snore on his back? Sew a tennis ball into the back of a shirt/pyjama top. Problem solved.

C- Try the breathe right strips. They will work if its a nasal/sinus type issue. They do nothing for me, but they're cheap.

D- if that doesn't work, you're probably looking at tongue-on-back-of-throat snorting. You can get custom mouthpieces to help with this. You can also get a 'one size' silicone one, the aveo tsd. I bought one online, I still snore with it, but my wife tells me the volume is significantly reduced.

E - as well as the above losing weight will help.

Many times snoring can be a sign on sleep apnea. Have him check with his Dr and see if he can get approved for a sleep test. My wife did this and now wears a mask to force air and it has stopped her snoring.

I am one of those snoring husbands. I tried those nose strips and my wife has said they work amazing. Give it a try.

i dont know if those breathe right strips work or not. im getting ready to buy them for my boyfriend because he snores too and its making me crazy. but he only does it when he sleeps on his back. try making your hubby turn on his side or his stomach. or try those strips. you can get them at walmart, or any drug store. good luck. i know how terrible it is.

I had the same problem. It helped us for him to sleep at the foot of the bed where he would be little further away from my ears. And also helped to turn a fan on at night. Just get a loudest one that you can fine. good luck.

I've tried having my b/f use nose spray before he goes to bed, sometimes it seems to help, sometimes it doesn't...... it really sucks though!

You could give him a BJ :-)

Losing weight will reduce the fatty tissue in your airway. Eating less and improving your fitness level can significantly improve your ability to breathe freely when you sleep. Stopping smoking or reducing exposure to secondhand smoke can help with the noise and intensity of your snoring. Do you sleep on your back? If so, you are probably exacerbating your snoring problem - in this sleeping position, the soft tissues in the back of your throat (including your tongue) are more prone to slide backwards, blocking your airway. If you are a mild snorer, switching to sleeping To keep your airway open during sleep, a machine at your bedside blows pressurized air into a mask that you wear over your nose or faceon your side might cure your snoring altogether.
