Probably it is in their nature.They want to be smart and feel that they are lacking in some departments,therefore if they cut down someone and belittle them,then it makes them a bigger and better person.

Not to be mean or disrespectful, but "too bad" is a sentence fragment.
I think it is because people sometimes ask such stupid questions. Also, some people use really bad grammar or spelling when asking a question and it is really annoying.
When you ask questions to a group of mean disrespectful idiots what kind of answers do you expect ??

I suspect that some of the mean and disrespectful answers are a result of the relative anonymity the internet provides. And also the highly unlikely chance of any real retribution. I doubt some of these answers would be half as rude if you asked the person face to face.

Because there are lots of mean, disrespectful questions.
I think they answer in that way because the majority of the questions in this category are from young males imagining they have massive penises. Questions like 'I am 13 and have a 9" penis. Is that small?', deserves to be answered in a disrespectful way.
I try to answer truthfully and honestly if I think the question is genuine but if the question is so obviously ridiculous, then I answer in the appropriate manner.
A lot of people also criticise spelling and grammar but for a lot of people, English is not their first language, so it is unfair to be mean in that respect.
