I have heard of men (and I imagine women also) who become sexually aroused at other emotional times. Guys, have you ever popped wood in a scary movie, or at a surprise party? It's a normal thing to happen, you're not the freak that you are afraid you might be.

I used to be embarrassed about it, but I don't worry about it anymore. It's part of my anatomy so I figure everyone else can just deal with it. At least they know I'm glad to be around them.

Most guys should get embarrassed if they get one in public, in most states being sexually aroused in public is illegal also. At parties or hanging with friends privately, should not be such an issue, but most guys will still try to hide one.

It depends on the circumstance. I expect it in intimate company, and would be embarassed if I didn't get one. Teenage boys get erections all the time, for little or no reason, and it can be embarassing.
