Garlic pills are very good for the heart and it also unclogs the fatty despoits from your heart. I also use a lot of garlic in my cooking and in my dressings. I also think oily fish can help as well but again in small doses

My mum suffers from high cholestrol and ever since i have introduced garlic in her diet her levels have gone done a bit.

I also have to take garlic pills as i suffer from bad circulation in my hands and feet i have noticed a big change in my circulation.

I also just thought of something if this helps you i use olive oil in my cooking as well as its lower in fat than regulaer oil and it also makes a nice dressing.

If you can get benecol or the flora drinks they are both very good for lowing cholestrol as well.

I would also try and cut down on the fry ups and cream products and coffee as well.

I dont suffer from high cholestrol but ever since i cut down my daily intake of coffee i feel much better for it.

I walk quite a lot so maybe try that i also ride my bike and do yoga a few times a week.

Maybe you could do something fun that you like bike riding or lets say playing golf.

I hope that this helps you and good luck with this.

God Bless

I take Omega 3 -- fish oil caplets. Sounds gross, but there are enormous health benefits for the heart, blood pressure and even some scientific studies that have shown mental benefits.

In addition, you might want to check out "red yeast rice," which is also available at your average drug store/health food store. Apparently good for controlling cholesterol:

Good luck.
