Strong odor from urine?!
Question: About 2 1/2 years ago my urine has acquired a strong odor, which is very noticeable. When I drink a lot of water the smell is basically gone. Is it just because I do not drink enough water, or could something else be causing this, and drinking a lot water just flush out the system?

Drink at least a gallon of water a day (oh c'mon, its not that much!). I only drink water (other than the occasional beer or wine), except for black coffee in the morning. My morning wee is ghastly-well, just like pee and strong black coffee. The rest of the day, my pee is fine and normal.
It's the acid in your drinks that cause that. Start drinking alot of water to flush out your kidneys.

Smelly urine can be caused by many things such as diet, vitamins and other medications. Be sure to drink lots of water to flush out the toxins.
has a lot to do with what you drink...for example coffee or other strong drinks can really make it smell, i have a juicer and ocassionally juice beets and my urine will actually have a red tint allmost like blood. just drink more clear liquids.
