Can anyone identify the name of my sons problem?!
Question: My doctor gave it a name and it escapes me.
He was born 9 weeks ago with a bubble on the underside of his penis. It would fill up when he peed. It has since popped. Can anyone put a name to this problem for me? I'm trying to research it a bit. He's going to need to see a special doctor in Toronto and I want to know what to expect.

It sounds like it might be Hypospadia, though the information I could find on this defect sounded like it was only a hole in one place and not two holes but everyone is different. Whatever it is I can't imagine it would affect his fertility. It is simply a skin malformation and so this should not affect the testicles and their development as long as the hole is closer to the tip of the penis and not the testicles. It sounds like this would be fairly easy to correct surgically as well so I wouldn't be too worried. This disorder is not terribly uncommon. Good luck!
