Definately vitamin d and maybe even b. I would take a multi just to be safe. Vitamin D is essential, though, and we absorb it from the sun. If he is going to be in darkness for seven months, he should probably take that as a separate supplement.

Who ever he is there with should have a complete and total list of what he needs. Don't ask people on yahoo who have no idea of what is needed in the totally different environment them 99% of the world never experience.
