Weird question about working out in a gym!?!

Question: since I joined this gym, i really like it there, but I still feel a little awkward being there. does anyone know any ways to help me cope with this, or do I just have to keep going until I get more used to it? thanks.

The thing to realize when you're there is that people are just there to do their workout and then be on their way; they usually are busy, and just trying to squeeze in time to do their workout before they have to go to work, go home and fix dinner, etc. You're not conspicuous being there, everyone is busy working on their own routine, so just try to focus on the exercise, and not worry about if you stand out or anything.

It will get easier in time, and as you build up your exercise routine, your concentration will be solely focused on that, and not worrying about anything else.

u may be a bit nervous there the first 2 months because you will see some chicks there

Quite normal, it gets better. Before long you'll be able to pick out the newbies. And dont sweat it the hard core guys dont even blink and would normally be glad to talk with and help you out

People always feel weird in a new environment. Just do your own thing and forget about everyone else. You're there to make yourself feel better. Don't stress

Just get in the habit of going to the gym and it won't feel awkward anymore.

ha.

when i went i felt the exact same as you, i got chatting to the people who worked thee and used the gym

this helped me and ecouraged me to go more

maybe your not as strong as some of the roided up people there. just think youre not cheating your way stronger and youll be fine.

Hey bro, bring a couple of your buds there with you, make sure they are weaker then you, and make sure the ladies notice it, then when you go back by yourself you will fell better

You will get used to it. It takes a few weeks.
