I'm I okay? (mentally and emotionally)?!

Question:

I'm I okay? (mentally and emotionally)?

I'm a 14-year-old who crys herself to sleep sometimes because my first boyfriend (whom I'm with) has been sent to a counsler because people think he's mentally unstable. This troubles me because I'm afrade to tell anyone how I feel. My mother and father devorced when I was 2 and my mother has never been the emotionaly supportive type. She thinks she can just buy my love. I so scaresly get to see my father that I'm afrade to tell him about my personal life. I've never told anybody how I really feel inside. I'm the type that holds it all in and puts on a fake happy face infront of people but, when I'm alone all I do is think of all the things that have gone wrong. I sometimes jerk and twitch thinking of some of my thoughts. The only person I feel safe talking to is my boyfriend but, he's not here right now. He was never the supportive type anyway. He didn't even tell me he was going to counseling. Maybe I'm just going through a teenage stage but I honestly can't take much more depression

Answers:

You just took your first step. You are going to be okay. You know why? Because..you yourself just said you cant take the depression anymore. You are opening up. You are not going to wallow in self pity or feel like you're falling...because you wont let yourself do it. Wheather you know it or not..you are stronger than you imagine yourself to be.

Now..i know you miss your boyfriend..just remind yourself..he's getting help..he will be better and maybe soon he will be back to see you. As for your father...and your mother...try..just try..talk to them..you dont have to pour out your feelings if you dont want to..but just having a normal conversation with them can help..and maybe you might find some way to confront them..when you feel the time is right.

At 14, you are young and you are a bit scared ..its ok...If you have some one at school you can approach, maybe a school counselor or a teacher you are familiar with..it would be a good idea to talk with them. Dont do anything you're not comfortable with.

As for your thoughts..you say your jerking and twitching..Its because you have too much on your mind and you are a bit uneasy and stressed. Try to ease your mind...put on some soothing music..rest.. Try not to think too much about all this..take everything slowly..set yourself some small things to do..like finishing your homework today...a movie maybe with some friends..maybe some window shopping sometime later..plan out an agenda for the day or the week and start from there.

Hope everything works out well. Always remind yourself..you are ok..you are normal..

I sincerely hope you can find someone you can talk to..talking always helps..its time to reach out..make some friends..Take care.
