My stepdaughter and Seroquel?
My stepdaughter's been diagnosed with depression ..and prescribed lexapro for the depression and seroquel for when she can't go to sleep at night. From what I've read about seroquel, 1) it ain't for kids and 2) it isn't a xanex substitute.....is it me ? Two different psychiatrists are pushing the same drug on her...what's going on ?

I HATED Seroquel. To go to sleep now, I just take .5mg of Lorazepam.
Seroquel is labeled for schizophrenia and Bi-Polar Disorder, though I too had it prescribed for sleeping. Don't kid yourself, Psychiatrists benefit from prescribing certain meds. Try something else.
