Answers:

Doctors are prescribing SSRIs for just about everything but athlete's foot, so don't worry about the doctor labeling you as depressed or anxious. He probably thought, "Gee, might as well try this; it works on everything else, so it might work on this." Strangely enough, it works quite often.

Lexapro is broken down mainly in the liver, and every 27-32 hours, half of it will disappear. At the end of 5 days, it will be about 95% gone. However, the medicine works by keeping your serotonin levels up. You'll need for your serotonin levels to drop again before you'll be back to "normal".

I can't find anything *official* on how long that should take, but based on the experiences of a few friends, it could take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months before everything is normal again. It's kinda iffy, looking at the experiences of a few people and making the assumption that they're typical, but I suspect they are, else I wouldn't have mentioned it.

Good luck.
