Do I have a spirit attached to me?!

Question:

Do I have a spirit attached to me?

For the last two or three days I can feel this presence around me and I can't explain it, but it's almost like it's haunting me. Strange things keep happening around the house. I don't feel like its trying to hurt me, but it definitely wants me to know its there. I don't do drugs and I rarely drink, so I know I'm not hallucinating. Has anyone ever felt this way before? If so, what did you do about it?

Answers:

I feel like I should answer this question from a realistic view. There are several options to consider. Either you are experiencing a supernatural event or you are experiencing some kind of mental health related problem, which is probably why you posed your question on the mental health side. Without knowing you or the situation around your house, I cannot say what is happening to you one way or the other. But I can point out several things to consider.

First of all, doing drugs and drinking or not are not relevant to hallucinations. Dinking and drugs aren't the only thing(s) that can cause hallucinations. Hallucinations can be caused by mental health issues from bipolar disorders to schizophrenia. Generally speaking, hallucinations either follow one of two sensations such as sight or sound. Rarely do they follow touch or smell, although they sometimes can. There are one of several ways to tell if what you are experiencing is a haunting or a hallucination, but the list is not exclusive. Have doors opened or closed on their own? Are you or have you experienced cold sensations at certain point(s) in the house? Are you in an old home? and if so, check out the history of the home to find out if there was (were) any events which took place such as a death. If the answer to any of those questions is yes, then one of several things is recommended.

Take a photo in the direction of the phenomena. Then develop the film in a one hour photo shop. Any deformation in the picture that is consistent means that there could be spirit activity in the house. Whatever you decide to do, if you don't feel like being examined by a therapist to see if you have schizophrenia or bipolar, ask a professional in the field of parapsychology to examine your area. They can usually tell you from experience if your problem is that of a haunting or a poltergeist or that of an overactive imagination.

I hope this answers your quesiton with tact and simply ask that you consider the possibility that you are experiencing mild hallucinations as a result of a psychiatric disorder. That's why I suggest bringing in a parapsychologist for another explanation.
