Answers:

Unfortunately Bulimia (like most eating disorders) is very very difficult to treat. There are various forms of therapy available, some of which include the use of SSRI medications (anti-depressants) Your friend certainly needs your support but she must get professional help to end this vicious cycle. This is a life threatening illness and, although difficult to treat, there are many success stories. Please have her research as much as she can about bulimia (and you should do this also) The more you know about this illness the more equipped you are to help her get the help that she needs. best wishes to both of you
