Best friend thinks im crazy for self harming but i don't understand her bul!
Question: Best friend thinks im crazy for self harming but i don't understand her bulimia/anorexia?
Answers:
christ.. no offence but she doesn't sound like a friend. Friends don't insult you, particularly about something that must have been very difficult to confide. Sounds like she has issues, though, and is also hurting. Eating disorders, as with many other mental health issues, are difficult to understand if you've not experienced them. Also self-harm is a coping mechanism rather than a sign that somebody is suicidal. The mental pain somebody is experiencing doesn't directly relate to the physical pain they inflict. It's your decision how you cut, don't let anybody else make you feel guilty about it. Alternatives to self-harm include less damaging coping mechanisms, some may require learning new ways of thinking and dealing with problems, others are things designed to imitate self-harm like squeezing ice cubes or scribbling with a red pen.. Is there a counsellor or somebody at school (sorry, don't know how old you are) or another perhaps more encouraging friend who you could talk to about this?
The stupid ***** isn't your friend if she judges you like that
experience
they are both bad ways to cope and you should both get some help, in regards to her, if she isnt gonna be supportive of you - you shouldnt be supportive of her
you are both being stupid. don't damage your bodies like this, you are only young and they will BOTH leave scars, some physically but definitely mentally. stop this before it gets any worse please!
No, it's because her way doesn't leave permanent scars.
I thought she was trying to get thin and hates the fact that the food might leave fat n crap, but really use it as a form of control for depression or similar in side her and you cut to relieve pressure or regain control yeah? If im right ( I dought it in your eyes) then you need to stay away from each other cause she will f@ck you up even more, cause she thinks that her problems are worse than yours, which is also not good for her too!
Ketchup please... no no BBQ!
