Bupropion (Wellbutrin) questions?!

Question: Bupropion (Wellbutrin) questions?
I've just been prescribed Bupropion for my depression, but im kinda scared to take it cos of all the side effects it has ( except the weight loss side effect lol) But has anyone on here taken it before? does it change you in anyway? please help!

Answers:

I take generic Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) with dinner, for depression and anxiety. I've been taking that for over two years, and it's working very well for me.

The Wellbutrin SR seems to help me to be more alert and active - and wanting to do things - while the Lexapro makes me more mellow, and it helps me sleep better, too. They are relatively low doses of each medication, which keeps side effects at a minimum. I really can't tell I'm taking any medication at all.

There are a lot of people that take Wellbutrin with their SSRI's, it helps to counteract some of the possible side effects - such as drowsiness, weight gain, and the sexual side effects. It really does make a difference!!

Don't cut it in half no matter even if the Pharmacists tell you to. Read the instructions to it. If you cut it in half you will not enjoy life or like the side effects, it'll make you sleep soo much. But if you follow the instructions things should go well. And if you don't like the effects or it's not working with you dont hesitate to call your doctor and get it changed even to something else.

Myself. Was on it 3 years ago.

I used to take it, and it honestly didn't do much for me. With every medication comes side effects. Your Dr. wouldn't have prescribed it to you if they thought you'd get the serious side effects. Give it a shot. It's different for everybody.

iv taken it because of a S T U P I D doctor. i don't know much , but for ur info if u have schizophrenia or take the medicine invaga (like i did) then ull go back into scizo. because it works against the invaga. and all i kno is its a mood stabilizer its very good for people if they dont take invaga. im off it now.
hope i helped (:
