Please take a deep breath and repeat after me: This is temporary. Things are hard right now, but things won't always be this way. I grew up in a similar household, but my life changed dramatically once I was on my own. Experiencing all this will give you an even greater appreciation for what you'll have later, and will also make you a compassionate, understanding adult. I know from experience. Give it time. You will meet new people eventually..sometimes all it takes is one special friend to really turn things around. When you feel alone, write letters or emails to your best friend. I have a friend that lives 4 states away, and we've been writing each other for almost ten years now. She's like my diary, and it's extremely therapeutic to get my feelings and worries on paper. Exercise of any kind helps raise your endorphin levels, and is a natural mood lifter. All the things you are going through will make you stronger later on. Just hang in there, and focus on doing things that will make your life better when you're on your own, like making good grades and going to college. Good luck, and please try not to be too hard on yourself. Before you know it, you'll be an adult looking back on all this, and feeling proud that you handled it with grace.

The beautiful thing about loving the blessing we have to breathe comes when we understand most things in life we cannot ever control. You have to let go...take a deep breath, and as corny as this sounds take life one day at a time. It does help to do that though. Anxiety comes when we worry about what's going to happen and while we do that we miss all the wonderful things that are happening right now. You're alive. You have people in your life who love you. Keep God's love in your heart and watch as everything else will fall right in place.
