Is deja vu migraine or anxiety related?!

Question: Is deja vu migraine or anxiety related?
About 5 years ago I've repeated episodes of deja vu like feelings. I've only had them a handful of times. It was the strangest feelings. I had visual and hearing stuff happen and when I was having it, it felt like such a great feeling but when it was over it was the worst feeling in the word and I felt weakness. I've had similar feelings but not quite as intense at all. Sometimes I get a strange feeling and I assume its panic attacks so when i take a xanax it slowly goes away. I just started taking klonopin and the feeling and my anxiety got better, well i did just start taking it but it seems to be working. I also get migraines and i get that feeling when i have a headache sometimes, actually before the headache but the headache isnt that painful at all its more like and annoying dull ache, which also give me panic attack.

I havnt had any problems for years, until recently becasue i stopped sleeping and i was very stressed, the deja vu isnt an issue but i think about it when i had it years ago and it freaks me out and i wonder if it will ever happens again and that scares me.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking, but deja vu is neither migraine OR anxiety related. Most people experience feelings of deja vu, and there is no evidence that there is any correlation with mental illness or migraine headaches.

The cause of deja vu is still unknown with a few theories that are more common than others. Some people think it is a temporary malfunction of the memory giving the impression that something is being 'remembered' while it is really being experienced. Another theory is that there is a small temporary overlap between the short and long term memories that makes people feel as is they are recalling something stored in the long term memory. Other theories include misinterpretation of visual stimuli, and one hemisphere registering an event a fraction of a second before the other.

It is possible that your migraines and anxiety are related, if stress and anxiety are one of your triggers. If Xanax works for your anxiety then that's great, but there really is no need to worry about episodes of deja vu. It is very common and has no link to any other disease.
