Is this a type of medical condition?!

Question: Is this a type of medical condition?
------------------

Whenever I leave my my house or somewhere I've stayed I have to look EVERYWHERE to see if I left something.

I usually even have to double or triple check the same spots, like closets or under the bed, the drawers, etc.

I sometimes even look at all the objects in the room and say "no, no, no" ...as in saying no that's not mine and I don't need to take it.

My last job required me to be on the road quite a bit and stay in hotel rooms. It would take me forever to be able to leave the hotel to check out. I would have to look at every corner of the hotel room and say "no" to everything to make sure I wasn't leaving anything.

I guess the positive side to this is that I've never forgotten anything anywhere! It's just kind of weird to me because I know I'm doing it, but I can't stop.

Why do I do this?
