Do I need mental help?!

Question: Do I need mental help?
I'm always feeling down.
I don't want to kill myself, but I still try and can't stop having these thoughts about it,
I'm now having weekly seizures as I am epileptic,
I self-starve myself as I don't enjoy eating food,
I'm always crying and not knowing why,
I feel tired and I haven't done anything to exhaust me,
I feel worthless,
I have no friends,
my husband ignores me all day,
I feel depressed and always cold (even though it is summer here)
I feel alone
Sometimes I burst out in weird fits of anger (smashing glasses, hurting myself) etc

anyway
I could continue with this list but I just need to know, do you think that I need mental help?

Answers:

What you describe sounds like clinical depression. I think it would be in your best benefit to get help for yourself. Clinical depression is not just a feeling, it is a true medical problem that needs immediate medical attention. I suggest going to your doctor and seeing what they can do, and if they can refer you to a therapist or psychiatrist. I know how hard of a road it is, but it does get better.

Hope I helped.

yes i think you do need help you need to make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can and tell him the symptoms you have and how you have been feeling latley anything you say will be confidential and there are ways he can help you either through counciling trying medication or just meeting with you more regularly to monitor things but he will be able to help you

Maybe you should go see a psychiatrist. It's not good for you to feel like that or hurt yourself (or your kids).

Good luck!

Crazy ***** get help.

Talking to a professional never hurt any one but not talking to a professional can hurt you. Too me it sounds like depression with anxiety sort of what I have only on a different level, so yea get help talk to people more importantly talk to a professional it's nothing to be scared or ashamed of. For the seizures I can't say for sure it could be because of overwhelming stress and or depression or it could be because you're not just eating either way make sure you bring that up when you go to a psychologist and if he/she doesn't know why you're having them go to a doctor right away. If you need to talk to someone or have any other questions please email me at dee_jay7200@hotmail.com and if you get better and see someone please let me know so I don't worry just hang in there you're not alone.
