How can one have a better long term memory than a short term one?!
Question: How can one have a better long term memory than a short term one?
I can remember things and details from 15 yrs ago, but have trouble remembering things from the past week. Why is that?
Answers:
there is probably nothing really wrong with your memory. you have probably not been getting enough sleep lately, or been distracted, or doing too many things at once (do ONE thing at a time, which few people do anymore, and they are cheating themselves, research shows). sometimes, people are just stressed out, and this can affect memory. also, sleeping pills like lunesta or ambien, or similar medications can seriously mess up your memory. they are amnesia drugs, but docs never bother to tell you that.
