I've slept less than 5 hours in the past 3 days and i can't sleep! I f!

Question: I've slept less than 5 hours in the past 3 days and i can't sleep! I feel like im losing my mind! HELP!!!?
Hi peeps. I am dealing with alot right now, i have juvenile diabetes and fibromyalgia, and due to a recent flare up of my fibro (pain disorder basically) i have been out of school for 2 months. (I am making up the work with a tutor tho.) Anyways, i had trouble falling asleep on thursday night, so i ended up pulling an all nighter unintentionally. Friday comes along, and i stayed up the whole day without a nap. Friday night, i was drop dead EXHAUSTED. I didn't fall asleep until 6:30AM and i woke up at 11AM today (saturday). That is all the sleep i have had at all these past few days. It is currently 4 in the morning (sunday) and i have been going insane. I layed in bed crying for no reason, then i went downstairs and had full conversations with my cats, then i cried some more, then i sat in the center of the kitchen floor curled in fetal position bawling. I stopped crying to come on my computer here.

This pattern has been going on for ages, and i look horrible for a 17 year old; my face is sunken in, im breaking out, my eyes are red and bloodshot. No matter what i do i cannot sleep. It gets so bad that i find myself in strange places in my house (ex: under kitchen table, in a dusty corner, hugging clothes in my closet) and im just sobbing because of exhaustion.

I am a 17 year old female.
I used to take tylenol pm (2 tabs) everynight, as my doc said it would help. It just made me fidget.
I was put on a sleep aid and it made my blood sugars a wreck so they took me off.
My blood sugars are so bad right now because im either never eating or eating at bad times.

I literally feel like i am losing my mind... i cannot function. My family has gone to great lengths to help me, like buying a white noise machine, hot tea, baths, vigorous excersise, ect. NOTHING helps.

AM I crazy? Someone please give me advice... i am at wits end. Thank you!

i have been and still am in the same boat, not realizing how i got some where , couldnt function , tired all the time but couldn't sleep. i dont know if this is the same with you but i have learned that alot of the time it is my own mind keeping me awake. i too have been on just about every sleeping pill there is to no avail. i found out it was me keeping me awake that coupled with depression. i was advised to try to get more exercise (hard to do when your exhausted i know) , but i found what really works is relaxation techniques such as meditation/ deep breathing exercises and yoga. basically you have to find what is right for you to get you to relax be it the above mentioned , a hot bath, warm milk. etc . it will probably take trial and error but eventually you should be able to find your "thing" that relaxes you and your mind. i would also recommend keeping a sleep diary, write down what you did that day , what you ate, your thoughts and how much if any you slept etc and with all this info see if there are any patterns or trends that correlate with the sleep problems you are having then you can take this diary to your dr etc and see if there is a medical reason for what your experiencing or is it something else like i mentioned before that was happening to me . good luck

no your not crazy talk to someone about it

You mentioned that your blood sugars are bad because of bad eating habits.
I think that your eating habits could be contributing to the problem.
Foods such as wheat (noodles, etc.), milk, and protein (such as fish or eggs) will make you sleepier.
It is very hard to stay asleep on an empty stomach.

I hope you are able to get sleep soon.
Best wishes.

You should really try Melontonin.
I might have misspelled it, but seriously, talk to your dotctor about trying "Melontonin"
Its natural! Every one has Melintionin in it, but some (Like me) Have less then others.
It really helps. Melentonin is the stuff that lets you sleep
