I'm just about ready to give up?!
Question: I'm just about ready to give up?
Answers:
I don't know where you're from but its sounds the same as the situation going on where I'm from in Ireland too. The points race here for college courses is ridiculous and our exams are among the hardest final exams for secondary schools in the world. The important thing to remember is that most people who apply for very competitive courses end up in some way repeating their exams and there is no shame in that. Its a hard course and these are hard times and competition is tough. Remember that, yes, you might really really want this but your mental health and happiness is more important. Talk to someone about your worries, take breaks regularly and do something relaxing and remember, as long as you can look back and say that at least you did your best then you should have no regrets. The way teachers and parents go on about picking courses and deciding what you want to do with your life at the age of 18 is ridiculous! You are too young to be worrying about this! Try your best, if you don't get it, oh well, chose something else or try again. This is a very stressful time for you and remember that all of your judgments might not be perfect, people tend to be a bit more emotional and irrational when making choices when they're stress. Just remember, life is about being happy not about being perfect, block out all those voices telling you what you should be doing and just do you best.
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling this awful. You shouldn't feel like if you don't do well in your tests you won't be loved, you're parents will always love you. There is plenty of competition so prepare yourself for not getting in, but if you don't it's not the end. Another route will open up for you.
I'd seriously consider going to a doctor though, it could help you as a person and improve your exam results.
