What is rehab for drug abuse like?!
Question: What is rehab for drug abuse like?
Answers:
There is intake. They do a basic physical to figure out how much damage you have done and to gauge how sick you might get from withdrawals. They give you a basic interview. Then they take you to your room, and they go through your items to make sure you haven't brought in any drugs. They explain the rules. Most will start you next morning with group therapy or group meditation or both after eating breakfast. The day is very structured. You will have time in therapy, possibly certain chores to care for, time to write, and interaction time with your fellow patients. They keep schedules very tight so you can learn self control. But mainly there is emphasis on talking to you about why you got on drugs, helping you understand why you need to be off, and helping you make a plan for staying off. After you leave rehab you may go to sober living depending on whether they think you are at high risk for relapse.
y u no lay off the drugs in first place?!?!?!
