It's not true!. I went to nursing school and they won't ask about health information!. They ask felony charges and check your blood and urine for illegal drugs you are using at the time you start to work, and they check it time to time!. They don't check your medical history either!. Most of mental illness is treated effectively by meds and as long as taking them, there is no problem in working anywhere!. Good luck on your study! Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know a great, super intelligent psychiatric nurse practitioner!. She's bipolar 1, and was already diagnosed before school!.

As far as I know schools can't screen admission by health, mental or otherwise!.

I'm not sure that they do discriminate against applicants with mental illnesses!. I've known doctors who have struggled with depression in the past!. I can't see why nursing schools would do that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
