Therapy is a profession; they have to be professional about it!. You most probably won't see them again!. If you want to express your feelings then tell them how much they helped you, and thank them!. If you want to do more, then create something for them!. Just because you finish therapy doesn't mean that you have to stop with the progress, though!. Continue to build on your life and make it better and better!. Just because something ends doesn't mean it is a bad thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi as a Clinical Psychologist, when your Therapy ends it really doesn't! During your sessions we constantly assess your treatment and taiior it towards you as an individual!.

Here is the process of Couseling so it may help you see what goes on during seeing us and what happens when we say ok your good to go it on your own!.

1 Yourself (the client) comes to an initial meeting where you would tell us why you want therapy!.

2!. After that initial meeting with you we go away after taking notes and discuss your needs with our colleagues who are also trained therapists!. We would decide an appropriate treatment programme before your second appointment!.

3!. You come back to see the therapist again and he/she will have already tailored a suitable course of treatment, we follow this throughout your programme!.

BUT as we discuss things we may find there is an other area we need to investigate and go down that avenue!.

In the future when the time comes to complete your programme the psychologists/counselors/therapists will have discussed what is called here in the UK an exit Strategy!.

We NEVER just say right thats your lot we won't see you ever again!.

For instance therapy maybe weekly and towards the end we will say ok see you in 2 weeks!. Then it progresses to 6 weeks then to 6 months!. Before you know it you don't need us anymore!

Please be assured that once you finish we don't forget you, your sessions and findings from them are all recorded!. It is totally up to you the client if you want to make more appointments with the therapist and it would continue where we left off last time if that makes sense!.

Therapy is an evolving thing it is not set in stone!. Also we work to strict confidentiallity rules!. Your personally identifiable details are never disclosed!. Where possible if you came back for more treatment then the service would arrange for you to see the same person!.

Hope that Helps
