Wow, congratulations on getting the scholarship!

If I was in your position, I'd go for the boarding school program!. It sounds like a lot of time away from your family, but realistically you've got holidays and breaks, which will break up the time!.

I boarded at college and for the first 3 weeks it was awful!. I missed my friends and my family!. But once you get into the swing of things you'll love it!. When I left I missed all the friends I'd made, and just wanted to go back :)

This is a brilliant opportunity, don't let it get away from you!. Grab it with both hands!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you go to the boarding school, you can get a webcam and spend evenings chatting to your family on video chat!. Then you can still stay in your home town!.

You will miss your family at first, but you do get used to it and to be at a school you love, doing the subject you love will make you very happy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congratulations on the scholarship!.

My advice - this a question that only you can resolve, but a few questions spring to mind!. If I were you, I would genuinely assess whether how quickly I would be able to make friends!. Are you a social person:!? Is your sport a team sport, where you'll find yourself in a social situation quickly!? I think having your family close by would be a great refuge if you thought you may have trouble fitting in!. If you move away from them, you're always going to miss them, BUT - how much you miss them is likely to depend on how much fun you're having!. If school is going great guns, you'll be too distracted to dwell on being away from your folks!.
Also, Qld and Vic really aren't THAT far apart: if things get really bad, a couple of hours on a plane will have you home for the weekend!. It really is that easy!.

I went to a prestigious private girl's school in Melbourne, where many of my friends were boarders!. For the mosrt part, they had a great time: there are obvious drawbacks, but in general, it was like living with a bunch of mates for them!.

Just some things to think about :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
