Question: Can you die from getting scared!?

Do you guys/girls think that its possible to die, or get a heart attack from getting scared!?
Let's say you were watching a scary movie, and something happened that scared the hell out of you!.
Can it kill you, or give you a heart attack, or make you pass out!?

No!. Getting "scared to death" is just an expression!. It is not a medical explanation for someone's death!.
A person of normal health cannot be suddenly scared into a heart attack!. A heart attack involves a blockage in one of the heart's coronary arteries!. This is brought about from the long-term effects of someone's diet/lifestyle/anxiety levels (or from genetics), but not from one rush of adrenelin from a scary movie or event!.
If an individual dies from, say, a heart attack after being involved in a car crash, from a medical standpoint, the person's cardiac health had been deteriorating for years prior to the accident!. The accident itself was merely the "trigger" that brought about something that was going to happen eventually, anyway!. Getting frightened didn't kill him; the long-term effects of poor cardiac health are understood to be the ultimate cause of his death!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh, certainly!. When you're scared, you feel as though your heart is pounding extremely fast and you may even find it difficult to breathe sometimes!. If you're scared/shocked enough, you can die of fear/shock!. My mother was always telling me not to give my aunts a fright because they were pregnant, and fear could cause them to lose the baby!. Only if you're overweight and already have a weak heart or if you see something horrible and your body goes into shock!. You can't pass out unless you hold your breath and don't realize it or hyperventilate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
