Mental illness is so hard to live with!. We know that it's usually caused by some sort of chemical imbalance in the brain but at the same time, it's difficult to see mental illness as a real illness!. The symptoms are all in a person's behavior, and it's not so easy to accept that sometimes there are people who can't control their emotions and behavior!.

So for you, you have the logical head knowledge that your family member has an illness!. He looks completely normal but he doesn't act normal!. And there is SUCH a stigma regarding people who don't act "normal!." It's embarrassing to know that our friends or coworkers may witness the behavior!. It's normal to wonder if his behavior is going to reflect on you!. It's completely understandable that you have these fears that your coworkers will think less of you once they find out you have a "crazy person" in your family!.

Honey, you're normal!. You're okay!. You're allowed to be embarrassed, you're allowed to be upset, you're allowed to worry and be anxious!. But you're going to find that the truly caring people on staff, the true professionals, will not judge you because your family member is depressed and anxious!. Instead, you're going to find that they will make an effort to reach out to you and help you become comfortable with them knowing his diagnosis!.

If there's anyone on staff you're comfortable confiding in, why don't you cry on their shoulder a bit before he's admitted!? The burden won't be so heavy once there's someone else who knows you have it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Would you be embarrassed to tell anyone your family member was in the hospital due to any other illness!? Mental illness is not something a person does to themselves, remember this family member did not chose to be ill they just are!. If you work in a hospital I would think that the nurses and doctors have a great understanding of mental illness and will not think anything about it!.

My advice, support your family member, if you left your job would you see any of those people again!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

many people who need mental help are in denial, because they have such a good job and well educated!.But mental issue can be small and big!.it can be petty to severe and does not care how much money you make or what kind of job you do!.so to me it seem as though mental issues run in your family because you have some too!.Thats like saying a family member has cancer and you don't want anyone to know,or even know this person is related to you, but oh no we have the same last name they will have a clue I know them, so leave that family member at home to die to save your reputation!.if you are as smart as you portray to be,you already know that mental sickness is a real sickness and needs attention know matter who knows about it!.you need some serious prayer,To be in your profession you are a fraud!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the people in the hospital you work at are all smart, intelligent people!. they will not assume you are the exact same way as the family member!. they understand illness and won't judge you based on this person!. this person needs help and this is what you're worried about!? this isn't about you, this is about getting this person the help they need!. anyone who would judge you on that is an idiot!. Maybe you should seek counseling as well!? To be honest, I have been in a similar situation!. I just sucked it up and did my job!. Doctors and nurses are professionals and if they truly are professional, they wont judge you based on a family member!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He might be better off!. You can go see him on breaks and stuff!. Help support him!. I am pretty sure no one will care!. Mental illness is unique to each individual!. I don't see the problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
