I was diagnosed with borderline pd a while ago, but i worry i show MPD symptoms !

Question: I was diagnosed with borderline pd a while ago, but i worry i show MPD symptoms to - what do i do !?
im 30, have had a very traumatic life : bullying, abuse, victimisation in my life!.

ive improved greatly from how i used to be, i live alone in a apartment on disability, but iam eager asking for help from mental health services & been refered for psychotherapy!.

i used to have big problems with aggressive outbursts, rage attacks, mood swings from high to very low in minutes, social problems!.!.!.aloof anti social behaviour!.!.!.!.!.very low self worth!.!.!.!.flashbacks!.!.!.nightmares!.!.!.very bad anxiety, which turned into aggrophobia!.

ive managed these symptoms for a while now without therapy, im ashamed of my rage outbursts in public years ago, i was ostracised by alot of people because of this i feel!.!.!.plus i feel it caused me to be stigmatised!.
the rage is as a result of all the bullying i endured & repressed anger i feel growing up!.

i still feel stigmatised and labelled in the present as people still behave aloof towards me!.
ive never formed any relationships in life so far because of my social problems, clingness & severe low self esteem, so iam very much socially isolated!.

aside from these big problems ive been told i have a good intellect, can be loving, charming, write questions well and can be very empathetic towards people!.

ive noticed these positive things myself but its more others notice my qualities more!.

i also have symptoms of severe ptsd & my psychiatrist has sort of accepted this but not officially diagnosed this in me!.

just lately though theres certain things that are making me worry do i have multiple personality disorder!.!.!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
it doesn't sound as though yu have multiple personality disorder to me!.
I have met people with multiple personality disorder and also dissociative personality disorder both of which are mechanisms to avoiding facing up to the reality of ones feelings and so they are projected onto someone else!. People with these disorders are not usually aware they are doing this!.
This does not seem to fit you!. Although you have many problems you seem to have faced them quite bravely, have dealt with some issues and are attempting to deal with the rest !. It just sounds to me as though you sometimes just seek a bit of escape from yourself - a bit like reading romantic novels to escape the humdrum of normal life!.
I hope you get the help you need and manage to learn to trust people again!. Of course you cannot trust everyone but as an adult you are in a position to judge people wisely which as a child you do not have the expereince to do!. You have to learn overr a period of years taking your cue from your parents and experience and you must do this too now taking your cue from your health workers, family and friends!.

Not to say that your exact diagnosis doesn't matter because it does, especially when it comes to medication, but your diagnosis doesn't matter as much as your psychotherapy!. Once you begin therapy, your therapist will work with you on your specific problems to help you find ways to change your behavior, develop some coping skills, help you become calmer and stay focused!. This is individualized for each person not a blanket therapy for a certain diagnosis!. Give your therapy a chance and work really hard!. That will help you more than anything!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
