Question: Story of my cutting!. will ppl see the cuts and know that i cut!? plz help!?
i have started cutting and hav been on n off for about 2 months!. i started with a kitchen knife to a blade!.when i cut n see the blood i get this feeling that im high and become fixated and feel really good its like somethng ive never felt b4!. i do it when i feel sad and disappointed at Myself so i feel that i want to hurt myself and the scars serve me right as punishment and 2 take my anger out on all my problems !.ive only cut on 1 arm and i have about 5 cuts, of different intensity though coz some r older!. i dont want people to know that i do it though do u think that ppl will see the cuts and know that i cut or will they just think they are cuts from something by accident!? its winter but at work i have to wear a tshirt but at home i wear a jumper so my fam wont see but i dont know what to do wen summer comes!. only my closer friend made a point of showing me her cuts from her cat n i dnt no if she wanted me to say wat my cuts were if she had noticed coz it was random of her 2 show me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

-The average person would not be able to distinguish self inflicted cuts from 'accidents'; however, that doesn't mean they can't connect the dots, or won't be suspicious if they see alot of cuts on your body!.
-Your friend may have been trying to reach out to you, trying to make it easier for you to talk!.
-As far as covering up goes, it depends where you cut!. Scars on your arms can be covered up by make-up, bracelets, or even just positioning your arm so nobody can see!. (I would cut below the wrist area, so I could just flip my arm and hold it against my side!.)
-People go one of three routes: They will be direct and ask you about scars, They will tip-toe around the question, or they'll not say anything at all!. SI is something most people do not understand, and so they are quick to judge and be afraid!. Asking about it depends on the person, and how comfortable they are with: A!. Talking to you -- B!. Seeing the cuts!. -- C!. How well they know you!.
There is of course the option that nobody does know, or hasn't noticed, so nobody has said anyting!.
