Panic Disorder and the thoughts along with it?!

Question: Panic Disorder and the thoughts along with it!?
So I've had panic disorder now for about 3 years, and it's turned me from being a free spirited care free person to a paranoid person who's scared to just live life!. The other night I thought about a story I read in the news about a man that killed his family because he went nuts and was hearing "voices"!. I dont hear voices, but what scared me was the fact that my panic disorder will make me go nuts and hurt my boyfriend, and just thinking that it could happen, made me have a full blown attack!. It seemed like the harder i tried to block the thoughts out the easier it popped into my head!. I'd look at my boyfriend and id have this mental image of a crazy me holding a knife, and that made me feel even more scared and worse! What I want to know is how I can just stop the thoughts now, I want to just not have this disorder anymore, and I certainly dont want to become a psycho!!! heeeelp!!! as soon as I feel ok again and not anxious its like I get anxious because I'm not anxious anymore!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
calm down!. I have had the same things happen to me and it happens to many!. See your doctor!. Paranoia is normal with this disorder and it will get better, but remember that you are in control of yourself and would never allow these things to occur, nor will you become a psycho!. Crazy people do not think they are crazy or going crazy they just are, so you cannot be going crazy as you suspect is happening!. I suggest you take a walk or do some sort of exercise to help exhaust your mind!. A lot of time when I start to feel this way I go for a walk and keep busy and a bit social, though it is difficult, this was really scary to me at first too, but I promise that it will get much more tolerable and you will rarely ever even think these things at all!. I hope I have helped and please relax!.!.!.you are a good person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had that years ago!. Go to the doctor and get on some meds!. You have a chemical imbalance in your head the meds will help and may cure!. I no longer take the meds and feel ok these days!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

i have acute panic disorder, and have had it for about the same time!.its horrible to say the least!.but!.!.!.im on anti-deppressant and whilst it took a while to get on the right meds i now have been free of attacks for about 2 years with only the occassional one here and there but no more irrational thoughts!. when i do occasionally get an attack, i have a quarter of a xanax (which is like valium) it scared me at first that id get addicted but in the whole 3 yrs of agony i havent even used a whole box!. i recommend going to the doc and seeing whats going to work for you, but take note im now in control of my life, not the attacks and loving every minute of it!!!msg me and tell me how you go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
