Is Patient / Doctor confidentiality important to you?!
Question: Is Patient / Doctor confidentiality important to you!?
Answers:
Hi,
Yes definately and with anyone i would see withing the care profession!. It makes it easier to talk about sensitive issues, knowing that it goes no further than that!. Doctors can loose their jobs for breaking confidentiality, it is a code of ethics in practice today!. If doctors where allowed to tell everyones private bussiness to whoever they wanted it would mean many people wouldn't go to them for help and would cause more suffering!. so all in all, my answer is yes 100% to me anyway!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a doctor and from my side it is crucial!. It is vital that a patient can tell you anything without fear of it getting out!. An employer recently wanted to talk to me about a patient's health and his ability for work!. I , of course refused, but I felt I had also to refuse even when the employer had the consent of the patient/employee!. I did this because I could not be sure what pressure had been placed on the employee and could not be sure that the consent was real!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, because it lets me know I can trust the doctor with my feelings and they won't have to tell my parents about it!. I go to the doctor a lot, and I like knowing my parents don't have to know about some of the visits I make because I don't know how to talk to them about my problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Not really!. There are far more important information lost by Government bodies ending up in rubbish heaps!. That's what I don't like!. My wee Doc isn't looking great at the moment so I try to cheer him up not burden him!. The NHS Docs are doing their best but my goodness they are under pressure from management!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, I have been ill for a lot of years, if my doctor was to use me as an Example for other people who are ill and it would help them it would not bother me at all, after all, the doctors are there to help everybody!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, because there are things in a medical history that would best if kept private!. Without that Patient/Dr confidentiality nothing would be private!. Things other people have no right or reason to know would be available!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
