Question: How am i supposed to move on and be independent!?
i live with my mom and her bf who is an alcoholic!. my "dad"
is pretty much uninvolved in my life and since i was little he never taught me anything about being a man i had to do everything by myself!. my mom is verbally abusive and controlling and i feel always feel really bad around her!. how am i supposed to move on im 18 and going to college in the fall but im really depressed and my family is broken apart!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you're going to college soon right!.choose a college that's not really near your home and live in the dorm!.there you'll meet new friends and you'll have a roommate so you won't be lonely!.just go back to your home once in a while!.for now you'll just have to be with your family!.try to talk with your close friends it'll help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It may be really helpful for you to talk to a therapist!. It is usually free at college, and this would give you an opportunity to discuss the issues that are important to you at the moment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
