Tablets to keep me calm?!
Question: Tablets to keep me calm!?
I am going to the doctor next week to talk about tablets to keep me calm and curb my anxiety!. My doctor is prescribing them!. What tablets would he prescribe and are there side effects to these!? Is anyone else taking tablets for anxiety!? He mentioned anti depressants!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there are a ton of meds used to treat anxiety, and the same drugs are used to treat depression!. Zoloft worked the best for me!. Most of these drugs take about a week to offer any relief, so during the first week some docs will prescribe ativan, or another drug to provide immediate relief as you need it!. I have found that the side effects are less bothersome than the anxiety!. My side effects - strange (not scary) dreams, occasional night sweats - these didn't go away and I have been on it for over 3 years!. The side effects that go away - tiredness for 8 - 12 weeks (but you can still function daily), sexual side effects (a few months), and a feeling of being almost numb - nothing bothers you (only a couple of weeks)!. The anxiety and panic attacks were ruining my life, so the benefits of this drug far outweighed the side effects!. Good luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have been on three anti-depressants and one anti-anxiety pill!.
Anti-Depressants: First one I tried was Lexapro!. It did not work!. It had no side-effects, just didn't work!. Second I tried was Paxil!.!. it enduced suicidal thoughts so it was definently a downer! And my third was Prozac!. I love it!. It has no side affects on me, and it works quite well!. However if I miss a day, everyone can tell!.
My anti-anxiety medication is called Atarax!. I love it!. It has no major side affects, maybe a headache once in a while!. However, it works for me!.
