I just suddenly started having panic attacks/anxiety about a year ago, and I am only 21!. I was in school and my heart started pounding, and I couldn't breathe, I started feeling tingly and sweaty, I had to be rushed to the er!.!.!.!. sure enough I had panic attacks!. I had them everyday from then on and numerous times I went to the er in fear I was having a panic attack!. There is nothing scarier!. Then finally, the last time I checked myself into the er, I was waiting and my heart started racing, so I called the nurse to hurry the doctor, and you know what!?!.!.!. She took my hand and literally laughed at me, she told me I was having a panic attack caused by anxiety and even though it seemed like a big deal, it was all in my head and everything in all reality is ok!. She laughed and said I feel like I am having a heart attack because my brain is actually freaking out my body and that's why my body is responding that way!. Total normal body reaction!. So please don't worry!. I haven't had one since!. She assured me my heart was fine and there was no way I am having a heart attack!. She said marathon runners heart goes alot faster and they are just fine!. Ever since I feel safe!. I know now that my anxiety is all up to me and I am not going to fal victim to it!. It is so easy for anxiety to rule and take over you, but you can over come it!. I did, and I am the biggest chicken!. When I feel my heart start to pick up I just try to kinda laugh in my head and tell myself I am being silly and get over it!. I repeat what the nurse and doctor said!. Everytime I think about how she laughed and I easily assured!. You will be okay!. Tell your dang mind to get over it so you can sleep, haha!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should feel safe in your own home so ifyou are this scared you really need to speak to a professional about it!. Try to do things to distract and relax you in the evenings, have a hot bath, listen to music, chat to friends on the phone!. Keep things that make you feel safe around you (personal possessions that have significant meaning) and most importantly, find out what is causing you to feel this way!. You shouldn't be suffering this bad for no reason, speak to someone you can trust and resolve the problem so you can live your life properly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Foods rich in Tryptophan will help induce natural sleep and aid in reducing anxiety and tension!.

Avoid caffeine for a few hours before bedtime too!.

foods rich in Tryptophan are ~ bananas, cottage cheese, milk, meat, fish, turkey, bananas, dried dates, peanuts and all protein rich foods !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. turkey sandwiches for supper may just do the trick buddy!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. :0)

Have a soothing cup of organic loose leaf chamomile tea ~ this could be the calming remedy you need too?

The tea bag and commercial varieties of herbal teas such as chamomile tea could never be of any therapeutic value as they have had so much of the essential oils pulverised from them !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. only organic will do buddy ?

Also, try putting a few drops of pure essential lavender oil into a warm bath and soak in that for 15 minutes just before bedtime ~ the lavender oil is a great natural stress reliever and will relax you enormously ?

Don't use the lavender oil if you are pregnant or breast feeding ?

Naturally resolving the problem will always be the best way !.!.!.!. :0)

OK, is this your one fear, or will you likely start thinking of something else you worry about later!? If it is OCD, then you must have some thought or action that will calm you down for a while!. If it is generalized anxiety disorder, then just concentrate on your breathing and try to relax!. In any case, it is better that you go to sleep now, and seek professional help tomorrow!. If you don't have sleep medication available, take antihistamines (they are found in flu remedies and antiallergic medication)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Samantha,

If you feel a panic attack or feelings of anxiety creeping up on you then try this word repetition technique that I learned that helps me to quickly 'snap out' of my panic attacks:

I simply repeat the words 'cream cake' over and over in my head as quickly as I can without stopping!. You could use any word or words you like really but that's what I chose (because I like cream cakes)!. It apparently works because it doesn't give your brain time to process the panicky thoughts and so helps you to relax again!. Seems strange I know !.!.!. but it works for me!

There's also a free ebook that I found really useful called 'Get Rid of Panic and Anxiety for Good'!. If you want to take a look you can find it at: http://curepanicattacks!.premiergold!.info!.!.!. Even though I got it for free it has helped me absolutely loads!Www@Answer-Health@Com
