How long does it take for zoloft to reach full effect?!

Question: How long does it take for zoloft to reach full effect!?
I started zoloft about three weeks ago for panick attacks and anxiety!. I used to be on lexapro after a bad PPD, and weaned off after a year!. I got pregnant, and started having really bad anxiety and panick attacks to the point like I felt like I was dying!. I could eat, sleep, basically do anything!. Funny thing is I never had this until pregnancy!. So my Dr!. started me on 25 zoloft, and after a week upped it to 50!. In the beginning it doubled my panick attacks and anxiety!. But I know that is how some SSRIs are in the beginning and I wanted to wait it out to see if it worked!. I was feeling better on 25, but not toally myself!. Then upped it to 50!. Not I get anxiety a lot again!. I've only been on the 50 for a week!. I know it takes about 4-6 weeks until you fully feel effects, but is it normal to get more anxiety when you up the dose at first!? Zoloft is supposedly safer to take during pregnancy than lexapro!. Any info would help!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I found it REALLY increased my anxiety attacks the first 2-3 weeks I took it!.

When I went from 25 to 50 that was really tough on me too!. But after the 3 week area I really started to get the positive attributes of Zoloft!.

Honestly, it's made such a difference it was worth the rough couple of weeks!. Honestly, things are going to get better for you every day now!. You have gotten through the roughest part!

Keep your head up, and best of luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think this sounds more like hypoglycemia than any type of anxiety disorder, especially if you're pregnant!. If the drugs aren't working, it's because that's not the problem!.
I personally would never take any antidepressant while pregnant!. Try this website and see where you stand!. It might help with your anxiety!.

It takes about 1 month to fully be in your system!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could feel more anxious the first week or two after any dose increase of SSRIs, but this will then subside and most medical professionals would not consider a failure in a drug therapy until at least 6 weeks after the final dose increase!.!.!.
Taking any drug obviously has risks during pregnancy, and unfortunately most drugs have not been adequately studied in pregnancy for obvious reasons!.!.!.!.!.so you look at it from a risk:benefit prospective!.!.!.!.it certainly isnt safe for you to be anxious and upset during your entire pregnancy, so you just have to discuss with your OB which options are best for your current situation!.!.!.good luck!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
