Serious Problem with memory?!
Question: Serious Problem with memory!?
Im 17 years old!. i have had this problem for about a year!. it doesnt matter how much people repeat things to me!. i forget probably a third of what people tell me!. even things that mean a lot to me!. i forget names, numbers, dates, and alot of general information, it really frustrates my family, and it frustrates me!.!. what should i do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

!.!.!. sounds normal!. Of course in conditions like clinical depression there's a significant obtunding of cognitive function, including memory, which could explain memory problems more severe than your typical teen!.
ADD could explain your forgetfulness as well, even though im not a fan of diagnosing people with this!.
I'd think teenage-onset alzheimer's seems a bit of a stretch!.!.!.
Stimulants like adderall xr could potentially help your memory and the assimilation of information (perhaps in conjunction with other meds) in a case such as ADD or depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a doctor, but it doesn't seem like a HUGE issue!.
Get like one of those whiteboard calanders or even better yet, a date book thingy!.!.!.PLANNER! xD
Find one with a notes section, phone number section, etc!.
Be organized, use a planner, it'll help you trigger your memory and to stay organaized at the same time!

i think you need to take vitamins, better yet see a doctor, this could be the beginning of something veryserious, I'm beginning to have that same problem,but i'm much older than you (i'm 40)!. i know how frustrating it can beWww@Answer-Health@Com
if you dont remember general information, itz a serious condition u might have alzheimers, go to a hospital and get a brain scan, go to a good doctor ASAP!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I use the calendar in my cell phone for stuff I want to remember!. Some people need external reminding tools!. We don't have those tools internally like others!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
