If you want to try self diagnoses just to get an idea if you do have bipolar you can check out the website listed below it has a symptom checker!. This should give you an idea if your answers point to being bipolar then I would schedule and appointment with your psych or GP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bipolar is when you have periods of depression, and of elation, or super hyper-ness!. If you get the periods of unexplained elation, then yes, you probably do!. If you're normal sometimes and depressed others, then it's depression!. If you're always low, then its depression!. If you are normal in summer but really low in winter, then it may be SAD - seasonal affective disorder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are your mood swings severe!? Does each mood last several days or more!? If not, chances are you are not Bipolar!. However if your antidepressants are not working you need another review so go to the doctor!. The medical profession does not "give up" on people, they are just overworked and understaffed so they have to focus on the more extreme cases!. Be patient, persist and make them listen!. Only a professional can diagnose you with a mental illness!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if u have these symptoms, u should see a doctor!.

What Is Bipolar Disorder!?
Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic-depressive illness, is a condition that affects more than two million Americans!. People who have this illness tend to experience extreme mood swings, along with other specific symptoms and behaviors!. These mood swings or "episodes" can take three forms: manic episodes, depressive episodes, or "mixed" episodes!.
The symptoms of a manic episode often include elevated mood (feeling extremely happy), being extremely irritable and anxious, talking too fast and too much, and having an unusual increase in energy and a reduced need for sleep!. It's also very common for someone to act impulsively during a manic episode, and engage in behaviors that are risky or that they later regret, like spending sprees!. And in over half of all manic episodes, people are troubled by delusions or hallucinations!. For example, they may think they have a relationship with someone famous, claim to be an expert in an area they really know nothing about, feel paranoid (unusually fearful), or hear voices that are not there!.

The symptoms of a depressive episode often include an overwhelming feeling of emptiness or sadness, a lack of energy, a loss of interest in things, trouble concentrating, changes in normal sleep or appetite, and/or thoughts of dying or suicide!.

A mixed episode includes symptoms that are both manic and depressive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would recommend seeing some kind of mental health advisor!. They are the only ones qualified to diagnose your condition!. Also there are other prescription anti-depressants on the market that might work better than prozac and can be given at your heath providers discretion!. But please see a provider if your still suffering!!! They can probably offer real relief!Www@Answer-Health@Com
