I askd this question yesterday but only go one answer so Im going to try it again!.!.
Does anyone know anything about this pill!? I have heard good things & bad things!. What do you think about it!? please dont answer if you havent taken it or atleast known someone who has!. thanks!. I am taking it for depression & anxiety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How long have you been on it!? I take Cymbalta too!. Have been taking it for about 7 months now!. I have taken "happy pills :) " for about 14 years now!. I've been on prozac, seraquel, effexer, and others and this one is by far the best antidepressent I have been on!. That is not to say that it would be the best for everyone though!. Nor does it mean that someday it will stop working for me!. BUT!,So far I have had not adverse side effects from it, and I am on a more even keel emotionally than I have been in a long time!.
If you don't think you are doing well on it, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor!. Sometimes you have to try several before you find the med that works best for you!.
I don't know how you feel about exercise, walking a little bit every day or two works wonders for a depressed sole!. Check into diet too!. I cut out almost all refined sugars, pop and cut back on wheat and that has helped me out too!. I wish you loads of luck !Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am taking 60 mg per day of Cymbalta-it's been about 5 months!.!.!.and personally I don't feel any diferrent- I still have anxiety-lack of motivation-world-weariness ect!. Just yesterday she upped my dose to twice a day which she says is best for GAD!. Since I also have focus issues she has me taking Adderall as of yesterday!. I think the Adderall is very helpful, because for the first time in a long time I got out of bed motivated and ready to actually do stuff!. Adderall is a stimulant though so it's not for everyone!.
Edit*** Please note that Cymbalta is not available in Generic so is much more expensive- Most of the SSRI's are poretty much the same thing so go Generic if possible--In my own experience Prozac (fluoxetine) actually works the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know it is one of the newest antidepressants!. I was on Lexapro for years & was given samples of Cymbalta when I ran out of Lexapro!. I didn't really notice a difference to tell you the truth!. I know it is different from most antidepressants because it works on both serotonin and norepinephrine (most only work on serotonin)!. So it probably means a newer, better drug, but perhaps more side effects as well!. Didn't the doctor that prescribed it to you tell you about it's side effects!? I can't say to much about it, because it was the wrong drug for me, maybe not you though!.!.but like I said, when I was on it, I didn't have any side effects that I could tell!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I took it for a while, but it was too "heavy duty" for me, and I felt very flat emotionally on it which I didn't like!. I stopped taking it after about 3 or 4 months!. When I heard my stepfather had died and I didn't even feel sad (although I had been very fond of him) I realised I just wasn't myself and decided to quit taking it!.
I guess if you are in a really deep dark depression, strong drugs like Effexor and Cymbalta will work better to pull you out of it than Prozac!. Better drugged than dead I guess!. But I personally wouldn't take it again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been taking Cymbalta 60 mg!. for at least a year!.
I agree with the person that said they were not sure how to explain the way it seems helpful!. I do not experience any negative effects from Cymbalta!. I also take Ritalin for energy and concentration, Seroquel to help me sleep, and sometimes Clonazepam for anxiety!. It is hard to know which drug is making me feel what!. I am taking Cymbalta for anxiety and depression, and I have found it to work very well for me!. I switched to it from effexor XR to see if it would help me with my concentration!. So far so good!. I noticed a slight change in my mood from Effexor XR to Cymbalta but it felt like a positive one, just couldn't tell you exactly what was the difference!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have had clients who have taken Cymbalta (I am a professional counselor)!. They have all reported that it worked well for them!. But, medications work differently for different people so you must have open communication with the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
