Do you suffer from trichotillomania?!

Question: Do you suffer from trichotillomania!?
I have once in the past and now it's back again i mean i just can't stop pulling it it tends to be mostly my scalp and other times it's just my eyebrows an eyelashes!.I mean my dad has always told me not to pull it but i can't control myself!.It's an obsessive compulsive disorder that i've had well still have!.Even though i have taken control over it for quiet a long period of time by doing something constructive to get my mind off the urge to pull out more!.It's left quite a few patches in the hair which i cover up when i go out in public and comb over it!.I have now for instance stopped doing it because i'm busy posting this question!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
yes; i do!. i pull my eyebrows and eyelashes out nonstop all day at school!. i feel so weird because i'll just be sitting there and i'll feel an "itch" on my eye or something and automatically just feel compelled to pull out my eyelashes and eyebrows until no more seem to be coming out!. i once pulled so much hair out of my head--three years ago--that the part in my hair grew to be an inch thick!. it was really bad!. =/ i totally know what you're going through, dear!. =/Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know if this is a form of the disorder you suffer from or not, but I tend to scratch at my scalp off and on throughout the day until it gets really tender and sore!. When I took a shower this morning, the conditioner I use on my hair just about set my scalp on fire!. I have to consciously make myself put my hands down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mother does this!.!.!. mainly when she is stressed or nervous!. She went on Zoloft and it really helped her!.

I don't do the hair pulling, but, like another person that posted, I scratch my head!. (If you think conditioner hurts, dying my hair requires biting a leather strap!. haha) Anyway, I used to take Lexipro and during that time I completely stopped it!.

I think these compulsions are OCD absolutely!. Medication will control it!.!.!. I joked with my mom about it - I told her that Zoloft is cheaper than Rogaine! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

i actually think you might get enough info from just watching this to help!.
if you watch, remember the olive aversion
then go to other site and watch or read the craving buster which is an extended version that can be adapted to the hair pullingWww@Answer-Health@Com

I thought that was the fear of the number 13!
(Just trying to cheer you up!.) It is more of a habit than a disorder!. Once you start, you feel compelled as it starts to feel comfortable!.!.!.then nice!. If you try to forget about it-buy a Playstation or a Wii- then you WILL stop!.
This is the most stupid idea in the world, but any guess that helps is good-try wearing a hat!? Even indoors!? I don't know, I am just trying to help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
