So, I'm a rehabilitating cutter and I'm getting married soon!. I was talking to "my creator", the person that introduced me to cutting, and he said that maybe I should get psych help or counseling before getting married!. He said I have some unresolved issues that should be taken care of first!. I think he's right but Idk!. I kinda have this prejudice against pyschs!. To me, they suck and will just pump pills into me!. What should I do!? Go to the pysch or not worry about it and just get married anyway!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go get some counseling!. Marriage is stressful, and it may cause you to start up old habits!. Counseling will give you useful techniques for handling stress when you feel things are out of your control!. Life is ALWAYS out of your control - so what's the harm in getting a few new tools up your sleeve!? If you don't want to see a psychiatrist (the ones with the ability to prescribe meds) then go see a psychologist!. Some psychologists have masters degrees in psychology!. Also, some social workers also get further training in psychology!. None of those people prescribe meds!. Look into the options!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
maybe you should go to the pyschs, just because the person you're going to marry is just going to be worried about you if you maybe don't confirm that you are completely ok!.
Also before you talk to your pyschs, or before they give you a perscription you should say that "I don't want any pills or any medication"!.

psychs do not 'pump pills into you' if they think you are a threat to yourself then yes, they will give you medication!. but then again EVERY doctor does that!.!.!.seriously!. when you go to the ER for a broken leg, what do they do first!? they give you some pain killers!. before and after surgery!.!.!.what do the nurses give you!? medication!.
you need to be on an antidepressant, no not for psychs to somehow get commision for it, but to help you!. psychs didn't go to med school for 5 years + just to make money off of you and make you a zombie!. they did it because they wanted to help people!.
