How many people in 10 have a mental disability?!
Question: Schizophrenia occurs in 1-2% of the pop
Bipolar occurs in 2-3% of the pop
Depression occurs in 25% of the pop at some point in life, so lets call that 3% for serious, chronic MDD
There are many other mental illnesses. Then there are personality disorders serious enough to be considered clinical. Add in developmental disorders (autism, Asperger's, Downs, etc)....
I'd say 1 in 10 is a conservative number. Why does it not appear that way? A great many of us live normal lives with medication.
