Are all people with autism strange or was my roommie extremely strange?!

Question: I had a exr college oommate with autism who I used to tease and make fun of all the time. He constantly ate and was a fat slob. He was clumsy, very uncoordinated in sports, and had a dislike and jealously for those who excell edin sports. He used his computer all day and did not go out unless it was with his parents. He hasd no friends and as a 23 year old electrical engineer has never been on date. He also has a habit of repeating the same thing that he told to me or someone to himself days, weeks, or months ago and laughing at it even though it is not funny. He also goes to authority (his parents, an RA, a professor, and a dean) if someone calls him names such as fat ugly or nerdy or if someone hits him instead of deal with his own problems like most grown college students.

Autistic people seem strange to us cuz they're different than us.

Autism is retardation of the brain, meaning people with it, their brains grow and function slower than others'. It's not that they're weird or strange, it's just that, at the same age, a person with autism will have a less developed brain than someone like you and me.

Try to be less judgemental and more open-minded, geez.

Wow, you sound like a very well adjusted, mature "adult" as well.

Autism is a mental disorder. It causes people to be repetitive, have little social skills, have problems with fine motor skills, have OCD tendencies, and more. It's hard to understand these people but they cant help it so try not to judge them.
