How much sleep do you all get??!


Question: I sometimes have 2 or 3 hours....other times I can sleep in for 12 hours.....but am constatly knackered!! It depends what shift i am working and what day of the week it is. Why do I feel so tired when on average my sleep is averaged out over the week.?

me - 8-9 hours a night.

Feling constantly exausted can be caused by a medical condition or it could just be because you are working shift work, it helps to get into a routine, eg. bed by 9 asleep (hopefully) by 10pm and up at 6 or 7am the recomended sleep per night is 8 hours. If you try and get into a routine you will find it easier to sleep, depends on your shifts i suppose.

I average about 5 hours. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Consistency is very important. Try to get an average sleep time of 7 hours to prevent burn out in later stage of life.

About 6. I don't really like sleep. I must have some problems

maybe you do too much, or you are a bit run down at the minute. I am off at the minute so i am going to bed really late, about 1:30 am - 2:00 am. but when i'm not off, and i have to be up by 7:45 at the absolute latest, i try to go to bed earlier, but it just doesn't happen! so on a normal day i usually get about 5 or 6 hours sleep. I don't actually think i need much sleep though! I am a bit of a night owl, so i quite often find it really hard to get to sleep of a night! x

if it was up to me I'd have 20+ hours, but i settle for 10+, the more sleep i get leads me to fall asleep when i'm resting.

I would suggest that sleep needs to be combined with excercise to ensure a good quality of sleep.

I find if I don't excercise pccassionally then I can become really tired in the days and not sleep well. Go to the gym just once a week and you'll hit the sack and fall asleep no problem.

Everyday, you need at least five hours of continuous, cmfortable sleep. And averaging it over the weeks or month doesn't work.

It depends on how old you are. If you are a teen, you have to get between 10 to 12 hours usually. For most people they can survive on 8 hours of sleep. You should probably take a day off or something and spend it resting.

i get about 6 to 7 hours and you seem to have an uneven schedule of too much sleep or not enough that is why you are knackered, get sleep and try to go to bed the same time every night. and get up the same time every day keep your schedule if you work nights stay up all night on days off, and you will not have the burn out feeling when you go to work that evening.

i have about 3-4 hours sleep n im 15....i find it hard to go to sleep

Sometimes i get 9 hrs, sometimes i get 6 hrs, but after my night shift once, I got 25hrs. Oops!

depeneds, ive got problems with sleeping so sometimes its 8 or another day it could be 12 and others just a few hours

i sleep for about an hour... i have incomnia (SP?) and have to take pills D:
