Which of these sound like the most likely cause of the semi-panic attack I just !

Question: I'm trying to figure out what just caused me to hyperventilate (and still am hyperventilating somewhat):

1. Planning to return to the place (school computer lab) where I last had a panic attack (which was caused when I witnessed someone who had fainted)
2. The fact that I might be an alcoholic, but only drink on weekend nights, and just refused to drink (because I have work to do), and perhaps could be alcohol withdrawal
3. The fact that I started on Wellbutrin a few weeks ago, which can cause anxiety
4. Being very jet-lagged

Do any of these sound like they could be the cause? Which seems more likely? Thanks for any input!

As a fellow sufferer I would say all of them. If your just tired your anxious, if your just worried your anxious, just jet lagged your anxious. So all of those stressors mixed together with the new meds and no drink on top of it would defo be enough to make even calm people panicky

I would say it would be returning back to school.Having a drinking issue is one thing but it wouldn't bring on an attack like..now the meds could have some effect but overall I am sure its your mind racing on going back to school.

The second one sounds like it could have caused something to happen. If you drink a lot of achohol, and you suddenly stop, your body is used to having so much achohol, the reaction could lead to something like that. Hope i helped.

Well drinking while on a medication such as wellbutrin is not a very good idea. Wellbutrin itself can cause sweating, ringing in the ears, shakiness, stomach pain, agitation, anxiety, dizziness, nausea, and fast heartbeat on its own with out alcohol. Alcohol withdrawl can have similar symptoms. It is also an antidepressant and when alcohol is mixed with an antidepressant weird things can occur. If i were you id go talk to my doctor tell him or her about the drinking and ask them how they want you to deal with the medication.
